50 Films to Watch Stoned

April 20, 2013

Happy 420!

There are a number of lists on the internet recommending films that you should watch high. Usually most of the films on that list are lacking in quality (and sometimes funny). Here’s a list of films that are more mentally engaging, visually rich, psychedelic, and have a strong emphasis on art. Also included are some hilarious underrated stoner classics. Here are 50 films in no particular order or ranking:

Thanks for these suggestions. That’s why you’re top of a well-googled phrase! Inception was great and pays tribute I think to one of the craziest films I’ve ever seen stoned: the original “The Manchurian Candidate”. We’d had a space cake or two and by the end of that my brain was totally fried.

Also personal taste but I’ve really loved:

    Easy Rider
    Withnail and I
    Team America
    Playtime- Jacques Tati
    Riot On Sunset Strip
David Attenburgh’s Blue Planet, especially the deep sea one.
