Osmosis Tones- Osmosis Tones

September 3, 2011

The self-titled debut from the New York-based producer is a chill 20-minute ride through tranquil hip-hop beats, ambient bleeps, and obscure samples. The laid-back, yet detailed approach to production is reminiscent of Flying Lotus, Toro y Moi, and even Baths. The songs are slightly experimental, but also structured. “Poolside 1987,” “Sea Grammer,” and “Scrambled” are notable standout tracks. It’s a nice sample from a composer that has the potential to successfully break out into the indiesphere.
