The Illuminati

May 26, 2010

Recently there has been much uproar and concern about the Illuminati conspiracy theory. To give a little history on the Illuminati. It was created by Adam Weishaupt on May 1, 1776, in Ingolstadt, Bavaria in Germany. It was an organization that catered to free thinkers during the age of enlightenment which was an important time period in history in regards to intellectual, scientific, and artistic culture. The original Illuminati organization served more as an intellectual social circle and was completely harmless. Even at that time, rivals and conservatives were threatened by the group and falsely accused them of being anarchists trying to overthrow the government and being the masterminds behind the French revolution. As the Bavarian government grew more powerful, the Illuminati began to crumble and it dismantled by the end of the late 18th century.

In recent years, paranoid conspiracy theorists have crafted elaborate unreliable stories about a powerful New World Order and everyone in power from the President of the United States to hip-hop superstars belonging to the Illuminati. This “new Illuminati” have no direct connection to the original Illuminati from Europe which died out over 200 years ago.

Anyone successful with money, power, and influence becomes a suspect for belonging to the great “Illuminati” organization. Recent entertainers such as Lady GaGa, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Rihanna, Kanye West, and even Barack Obama have been accused of belonging to the Illuminati. Conspiracy theorists point out vague imagery and symbols, and black clothing as signs of membership.

So, lets cut to the chase. In Erykah Badu’s music video for “Window Seat” she expressed how group-think could be dangerous. The problem with irrational conspiracy theories such as the Illuminati rumor is that it seems to abolish all critical thinking and rationalization. Paranoia and hasty generalizations replace any compelling or convincing concrete evidence. Arguments are based off of half-ass circumstantial assumptions that have no validity or convincing proof. If the Illuminati was put on trial, the jury and the judge would laugh prosecution out of court. The wave of stupidity that has swept the internet is due to people being uneducated, misinformed or desperately wanting to belong to a subculture or underground subgroup that is popular or appealing. It is the classic bandwagon “I’ll believe this because everyone else says it’s true” mentality.

A half-ass comparison between pyramids on the dollar sign and the Roc-A-Fella hand sign does not mean that Jay-Z belong to a secret society. According to the same conspiracy-nuts that say that Hip-Hop’s most successful artists are devil worshipers, the Illuminati is ran by a white elite authority, although Hip-Hop’s elite are African-Americans. Many lost thirsty desperate young urban youth have fed into the Illuminati conspiracy, and is most sad because even in the age of a black president you have people of color who have such a remedial mindset that they can’t accept the fact that Black people can be successful and powerful without being “devil worshipers.” The fact that all rich and powerful blacks, such as Oprah, belong to some secret society because they are rich and successful is a form of self-hatred and implies that Black people aren’t capable of attaining that kind of success on their own. It underestimates the power and potential of black people. Thus, it keeps Illuminati followers of color in a subservient, weak, submissive mindset.

People are afraid to think for themselves. If you depend on random amateur videos from youtube.com to be your source and authority on the Illuminati, then it says something about your level of intelligence and critical thinking skills. Propaganda is usually meant to ignite fear and paranoia, we saw this most under the Bush presidency. The Illuminati theory has made everything unique, different, or controversial sacrilegious or demonic. It is the exact same paranoid Christian propaganda that was used to try to keep people from straying away from religion and the church, yet young sheepish followers are so quick to latch on to unreliable bullshit that they got from the internet instead of doing homework and research on actual world history and real historical facts.

Are you a sheep? Are you simple-minded? Are you easily persuaded and brainwashed? Are you a follower? Can you think for yourself? Do you believe anything anyone tells you? Do you over-analyze things to make life more entertaining? The bullshit must come to an end. Mind-control is dangerous. And all of you Illuminati conspiracy theorists are under foolish mind control. People will try to convince themselves of anything if they make themselves believe it hard enough. The Illuminati sheep are apart of a pathetic victimization scheme, paranoid automatons that desperately want a higher authority to be afraid of and to rebel against.

Here is Jay-Z denying Illuminati accusations in a radio interview (skip to 2:17):

Here is the “On To the Next One” video that has sparked so much controversy and that the simple-minded conspiracy-nuts point to as concrete evidence that Jay is apart of the Illuminati and flaunts it:

Here is an amateur 2nd grade bullshit youtube conspiracy video about the Illuminati (with no facts, evidence or source to back it up):

Even very well respected intellectual rapper Talib Kweli called out the childish foolishness of the Illuminati rumors. On his twitter, he posted this:

RealTalibKweli: So JayZ Kanye and Rhiannaare illuminati now? Y’all need to step y’all conspiracy theories up. #LAME

Real Talib Kweli: Somebody prove to me that JayZ and his cohorts are illuminati. Besides images from video s and on Rocawear gear, speculatory internet stuff

RealTalibKweli: I mean there are real forms of systematic oppression y’all could be making You Tube vids about. For real.

RealTalibKweli: so, if you aint Christian or dont promote christianity you illuminati? I got it now. WWJD?

RealTalbiKweli: For the record. I LOVE Jesus. I love the contributions churches can make to society, esp. the black church during slavery.

RealTalibKweli: I just dont subscribe to a particular religion. I love the prophet Muhammad, and Abraham. I learn from Buddhism, taoism

RealTalibKweli: I read Illuminati 666 Behold A Pale Horse, New Word Order, the Matrix series etc. In college.

Click here to watch Kweli go more in depth about his beliefs on the Illuminati.

Years from now, Illuminati conspiracy-nuts will feel really stupid for being apart of sheepish group-think.

Reaching much?

The most important thing the illuminati wants you to believe is that its a bullshit theory and it doesn’t exist. There are weapons right in your own house. TV, Radios etc. If you keep listening to the bullshit that the media covers on TV channels, you’ll end up D-e-a-d. So, with all due respect, wake up now, do some research and try to tell others [even though they may associate it with “paranoia”] before it is too late.

no offense but you’re too stupi enough to realise how dumb you’re truly are. you obviosly cant think for yourself since you just follow what others got to say which means you’re the “sheeple”. ironic how brainwashed dimwads call others what they are. People who know about secret society sheeple? are you serious? the secret society believe is not in the norm making anybody that believes it not sheeple since they don’t follow anybody else but i wouldn’t expect someone as blind & stupid as you to realize this common sense. if you’re going to argue about something being bullshit, atleast know what you’re talking about and dont be an idiot.

You obviously don’t know how to spell. If you’re going to leave a novel-long rebuttal, at least make sure your grammar is in check.

I’m well read on COINTELPRO since 15 years old. Government abuse does not equate to a paranoid irrational conspiracy theory.

The real conspiracy is the financial crisis and the erodingof the US currency. Not this bs about hand signs and rappers. The banking oligarchs are trying to squeeze the world of all its resources and money, while people are talking about devil worshipers. Whether you worship God or not, you need money to buy things, food, support charities. That’s the real conspiracy and the church is in on it. they are using the music industry and the blacks as scrapegoats to distract us from the real conspiracy.

The truth is the Bavarian police rounded up thousands of Illuminati players in the late 18th Century, and Weishaupt’s pyramid scheme for the world under one leadership has become a concept used ever since to indicate the same thing – a pyramid-like one-world order. Think of it as a concept. Watch the Money Masters on youTube or find the transcript for it online to get a history of the wealthiest people on earth, at least up until 1998. These international central bankers are commonly referred to as “The Illuminati”. They have unbelievable holdings at this point – estimated in the hundreds of trillions of dollars, and yes, they do own media companies, many banks, 90% of the worlds diamonds, 85% of the world’s uranium mines, other transnational mining and development corps, oil companies, bullion houses, and many, many banks. Congressional investigations into banking in 1976 and 1983 found European bankers, for example, to own 2/3 of the US Federal Reserve (which is also a private bank).
